The Sweet Potato Sushi Bowls with Ginger Soy Dressing, was so good!
I made it last night. It was quick and easy.
I wanted to post it to Facebook , but then realized
the recipe was from November 2014.
The dressing was perfect. I always have fresh ginger on hand, and the other ingredients, are staples in my home.

    Thank you,
    Anna Denney-Sandefer

Hi Anna! I’m so glad you liked it! That was a recipe I made for Vegetarian Times, where did you see it? I wasn’t sure if they had published it yet! It should be November 2015, maybe a typo? Either way, I’m so happy to know you liked it!

Do you not have a book with your recipes in?

Stumbled across your site, which I love and have printed off the pizza base recipe – my daughter is gluten free.

    Kindest regards

    • She Likes Food says

      Hi Sharron,

Unfortunately I don’t have a book with all my recipes, maybe someday though! I’m so glad you like my site and I hope you and your daughter enjoy the pizza crust!

  8. Sonja Hartmann says

    Hi Izzy!

So, I was in search of a black bean burger, and randomly found the great recipe on your blog. I then realized that you indeed were the same Izzy I worked with in Utah. You are a woman of many talents! The burgers came out great( although I could not stop eating the roasted sweet potatoes before they made it into the burgers), and I am so excited to try more of your creations, seeing I am gluten free and enjoy eating less meat these days. I shared your site with my friend in VA I recently visited who is vegan. Keep up the great work! Sonja

Hi Sonja! That’s so funny and awesome that you came across my veggie burgers! I’m glad you enjoyed them!! I have the same problem with roasted sweet potatoes haha! I hope you guys are doing well and enjoying Montana! It was great to hear from you! :)

  9. Jennifer Reid says

I have a question about the bbq cauliflower & chickpea burgers recipe. There’s a note at the end of the recipe stating burgers can be frozen. Are they best frozen cooked or uncooked? There’s nothing specific about that in what I read in the blog. Thanks!

What is coconut sugar and where do you get it I need to get my blood sugar down from 583, I need to cook with NO SUGAR, thank you

    • She Likes Food says

Hi Teresa, coconut sugar is a non-refined sugar that is made from sap of the cut coconut palm. It is still sugar though, so I think you should probably still avoid it if you can’t cook with any sugar. I’m not an expert though, so you might want to check with your doctor about whether you can eat it or not :) It can be purchased at most grocery stores these days.
