These 4 Homemade Salad Dressing Recipes are delicious and so easy to make!

I started making my own salad dressings a few years ago and I will never go back to buying the store-bought stuff!  You can definitely buy healthy salad dressings, but a lot of them are packed with sugar and other additives that just aren’t necessary.

When you make your own salad dressing at home you know exactly what goes into it and there are an endless amount of flavors you can make.  Today I’m sharing 4 of my favorite easy homemade salad dressing recipes with you!  I’m pretty sure once you start making your own you won’t be able to stop 🙂

AVOCADO RANCH DRESSING

Seasoned Chickpea Taco Salad with Avocado Ranch Dressing Recipe

Avocado Ranch Dressing

Description

A creamy delicious ranch dressing made with avocados!


Ingredients

  • 2 large avocados
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice, or lemon
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoons granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste if needed
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until creamy, about 1 minute.
  2. Use as salad dressing or vegetable dip!

Notes

Dressing stays good in the refrigerator for 4-5 days in an airtight container.

GINGER SESAME DRESSING

Asian Kale Power Salad Recipe

Ginger Sesame Dressing

Description

An Asian inspired dressing that is so flavorful!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons tamari, gluten free kind if necessary
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • Pinch of salt
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a small bowl or jar and whisk until combined.
  2. Use dressing on your favorite salad!

Notes

Dressing stays good in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.  You may have to let it sit on the counter for a few minutes before using it since the oil can harden a bit in the refrigerator.

LEMON TAHINI DRESSING

Lemon Tahini Dressing

A creamy tahini based dressing with a little kick from the lemon!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • Juice of 1 large lemon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3–6 tablespoons warm water, depending on how thick you want the dressing

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a small bowl or jar and whisk until creamy.  You may need to add a little more water if you would like a thinner consistency.

Notes

Dressing stays good in the refrigerator for up to 1 week in an airtight container.

GREEK STYLE VINAIGRETTE

Greek Style Vinaigrette

A Greek inspired dressing that goes really well on fresh veggie based salads!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, or Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a small bowl or jar and whisk until combined.

Notes

Dressing stays good in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.  You may need to let it sit out on the counter for a few minutes before using because the oil can harden a bit in the refrigerator.

    These dressings all sound awesome, especially that avocado ranch! Sometimes if I’m making a Mexican salad, I’ll just mix together salsa with avocado as my dressing, but most often I’ll make a simple vinaigrette.
