Is there really anything more refreshing than watermelon in the summer?! It’s sweet, but not the artificial kind of sweet. It’s packed with lots of water, which makes it perfect for hot days. And, it’s such a beautiful bright color!
I’m sometimes in awe of how nature produces such beautifully colored fruits and vegetables. Not to mention deliciously tasting too!
These 1-ingredient watermelon slushies are so easy to make. The hardest thing will be waiting for the watermelon to freeze because that amazing watermelon smell will make you want to just eat it all immediately. I won’t tell if you sneak a few pieces 🙂
It’s been really hot here lately, so if you are looking for me I will be hiding in the A/C, watching late night talks hows on Hulu, sipping a large pitcher of these watermelon slushies!Print
- 1 mini seedless watermelon
- Cut the rind off the watermelon and cut watermelon into chunks.
- Freeze half of the chunks until frozen, 1-2 hours, and refrigerate the other half.
- Add the frozen and refrigerated watermelon to a blender and blend until it reaches a slushie texture. You may need to add a little bit of water to the blender to get things going. Garnish with cilantro or mint, if desired.
